Jerry Unger has been a songwriter and working musician for many miles, venues, and shows. He performs material by artists from numerous musical genres and styles. Vintage Country, Classic Rock, Pop, Soul, Jazz Standards, and even some Gospel flavored tunes. From the 50s through today, any well-crafted song by an artist or songwriter, is a potential addition to his fluid song list.

New album being developed right now. It will be recorded at Muscle Shoals Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama this Fall.

NEWS February 2024

Relaxing a bit as far as recording is concerned. We hope to start working on the next album 2nd quarter of this year. Current plan is to record the majority of the tracks and overdubs here. Hoping to go back to Muscle Shoals to have the Shoals Sisters, Cindy Walker, Marie Lewey, and Angela Hacker, do their thing on some backing vocals.

Jerry grew up in the Midwest. He has the work ethic and common sense, typical of all of us who grew up in Middle America.

He writes from the point of view of the working man. His songs are based upon his experiences and observations. They are true and paint a picture that many can relate to. One of his objectives in songwriting is to make it something that the listener can own. A piece of sound that brings up memories and feelings.

New Project in the Making

This October, 2022, Jerry and members of The FOG, will be recording at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This is the studio where many legendary performers, such as, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, and Cher (yes Cher), recorded some of their greatest songs. Rob Kieckbusch and Dave Hare will be with Jerry on this trip. Looking forward to making some great music in this historic studio.
